With the psychoneurotic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and metabolic diseases, which are common polygenic diseases in China, as research models, this project try to set up the analysis methods and technology platform of systems biology; to identify the biochemical pathways, signaling and the structure of Molecular networks related to the disease phenotypes by integrating the bioinformatics data accumulated in the research of genome, transcriptome, proteme and metabolome; and further to elucidate the mechanisms of modulation and simulate the molecular and cell models of diseases. After accomplishment of this project, it will lay a solid scientific foundation for the exploration of new clues, new approaches and new orientation on the prediction, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and drug screening, and make great contributions to the crossover of disciplines, the elevation of biomedical research level in China and to enhance our international status.
