
Nature:中美科学家联合绘出番木瓜基因组草图

中国和美国科学家报告说,他们成功绘制出了番木瓜的首张基因组草图。这是继拟南芥、水稻、白杨和葡萄之后,科学家迄今破译的第五种被子植物(即开花植物)的基因组序列,将为研究开花植物的进化提供新信息。
参与这一研究的科学家来自美国夏威夷大学、中国南开大学和美国伊利诺伊大学等机构。有关研究成果发表在4月24日正式出版的英国《自然》杂志上。
