Curvularia prasadii R. L. Mathur & B. L. Mathur, Curr. Sci. 28: 449, 1959.
Isolated from sample XZ63, forest soil under moss, Parlung Zangbo canyon, Nyingchi, altitude 2000m, HSAUP061081.
Eladia tibetensis Y. H. Geng & T. Y. Zhang, sp. nov.
Coloniae in PDA velutinae, pallide brunneae, reversae griseae. Mycelium superficiale, ex hyphis ramosis, septatis, hyalinis vel pallide brunneis, 2-5µm crassis compositum. Conidiophora erecta, hyalina, cylindrica, non ramosa vel interdum ramosa, ex hyphis repentibus oriunda, mono-verticillata, phialis terminata. Cellulae conidiogenae monophialidicae, discretae, determinatae, obpyriformes, obclavatae vel lageniformes, hyalinae vel pallide brunneae, 4.5-7.5 × 1-2.5µm, apice praeclare collariolo. Conidia catenata, continua, sphaerica vel subsphaerica, modice brunneae, 1-3.5µm diam., longitudinaliter 4-10-striata, catena brevi fragili formata.
Habitatio: ex solo, Qamdo, Xizang (Tibet), Sina, 2 Ⅶ 2006, Leg. Yue-Hua Geng, HSAUP061110 (cultura desiccata in PDA), holotypus hic designatus.

Colonies on PDA grow well, reaching a diameter of 50mm at 25℃ in two weeks, velvety, pale brown, reverse greyish. Mycelium mostly superficial. Hyphae hyaline, septate, 2-5μm thick. Conidiophores directly erupt from hyphae, erect, hyaline, cylindrical, unbranched or occasionally branched, bearing at its apex a crown of 3-10 phialides, 5-15 × 1-3µm. Conidiogenous cells (phialides) monophialidic, discrete, in groups at the apex of the stipe, determinate, obpyriform, obclavate or lageniform, with well-defined collarettes and periclinal thickening, 4.5-7.5 × 1-2.5μm. Conidia catenate of 4-10 spores, acrogenous, simple, spherical or subspherical, moderately brown, verrucose, 1-3.5μm in diameter.
Habitat: Isolated from alpine meadow soil, Qamdo, altitude 3050m, coll. Yue-Hua Geng, July 2, 2006, HSAUP061110 (dried cultures on PDA), holotype.
The most closely related species to this new fungus morphologically is Eladia saccula G. Smith (1961). The main distinction between these two species is the size ranges of their conidia. The conidia of Eladia saccula (5.5-6 × 3-3.5μm) are much bigger than those of this new species.
